Justin Bieber + Mariah Carey, ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ (Remix) – Song Review

Forget Halloween, because Christmas came early this year! One by one like precious snowflakes from the sky, tracks from Justin Bieber‘s ‘Under the Mistletoe’ are leaking … Like … Well, a bad security job. Fresh out of the oven is the Biebs’ collab with Mariah Carey on the classic ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’

Mariah’s Christmas ditty is as legit as it gets, and while it’s rarely a good idea to try and recreate a good thing, mixing in the Biebs is a sure shot no matter what — and this new remixed song is no exception.

The ‘Baby’ singer and his ‘Always Be My Baby’ elder trade off lines, leaving the door open for the Biebs to show off his vocal range.“I won’t ask for much this Christmas, I won’t even wish for snow / I’m just gonna keep on waiting underneath the mistletoe,” Bieber sings, making all of the snow — and the girls — melt when he finishes sweetly, “all I want for Christmas is you.”
Though Bieber was a wee infant in a manger when Mariah’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ originally hit the shelves in 1994, he manages to take it down with almost as much gusto as the original — though even he won’t say that his duet trumps it. “I was very honored,” Biebs told Access Hollywood, referring to when he initially approached the 41-year-old icon. “I really wanted to do the song and I couldn’t do it better than her,” he added. “To have her on the song with me, it gives me the stamp.”

Life & Style Exclusive Photos: Inside Nick & Mariah's Twins' Luxurious Lives

Being Mariah's kids has its perks! On Oct. 21, Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon debuted their gorgeous twins to the world on 20/20. Now, Life & Style brings you inside Moroccan and Monroe's (nicknamed Rob and Roe) luxurious NYC nursery filled with Roberto Cavalli designed matching outfits, plush stuffed animals and AFK cribs worth $3,594 a piece!

"I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment," Mariah tells Life & Style of their two beautiful nurseries in their Bel Air Mansion and Tribeca penthouse in NYC.

"Designing the nurseries with Gail Sedigh of AFK Furniture and Mario Buatta was so challenging because I had such specific ideas I wanted implemented," she tells Life & Style. "I feel like I'm bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink."

So the singer made sure to encompass everything she desired.

But no gift is greater than being a mom. "I feel so doubly blessed to have such a perfect start to our family," Mariah gushed. "It's perfect -- it couldn't be better."

Ready to Meet Roec and Roe? Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Introduce Twins

Back on April 30th, 2011, pop diva Mariah Carey and her multi-talented husband Nick Cannon celebrated the birth of their twins on the same day as their wedding anniversary. The showbiz twins, named Monroe and Moroccan, have been seemingly on lockdown since their birth, with the loving parents keeping them away from the paparazzi. This Friday, Barbara Walters gets the first introduction, as the glowing Hollywood couple introduces their baby boy and girl to the world.

All photos of the interview hide the faces of the twins, so that the on-air moment this Friday is the first actual glimpse of the almost 6-month-old babies. In addition to meeting the twins for the first time, the celebrity couple reveals details of their babies' personalities. The twosome was named after icon Marilyn Monroe and the Moroccan themed room in their New York apartment where Nick proposed. Nicknamed "Roe" and "Roc," the twins seem to be emulating their parents' behaviors. Cannon, the host of "America's Got Talent," boasts that daughter Monroe is a little diva like her mother, whilst son Moroccan is "laid back."

The 20/20 article gives Barbara Walters the chance to interview the couple about the twins -- clad in New York chic attire -- as well as the challenges of pregnancy and the strength of their marriage. With a ten-year difference in age -- Carey is 41 and Cannon is 31 -- many have questioned the potency of this odd coupling. Three and half years after their marriage, the couple added twins to their family and seem to be going strong.

This rare and controlled glimpse into the lives of Roe and Roc seem to suggest that the couple are taking parenting seriously, and doing all they can to protect and nurture their young brood. The singer who stunned fans with a raw performance in 2009's "Precious" admitted that pregnancy was tough on her, but was "a sacrifice you make for them." Allowing only the queen of celebrity interviewing this chance to introduce the twins to the world and by conducting the interview in the couple's New York home, it is clear that Mariah and Nick are set on keeping much of their family life and budding family protected and private, whilst still sharing the joy and excitement with their fans.

Tune into 20/20 on Friday, October 21st, to see if Roe and Roc look more like Mommy or Daddy. It may be the only opportunity for some time to come to get a glimpse into the Carey-Cannon home and to meet two future stars of Hollywood.

Costume crunch

Mariah Carey is famous for going all out on her Halloween costumes, and now she’s built an extra closet at home for outfits for her twins, Moroccan Scott and Monroe. Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, told pals at Chateau Garden’s opening at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas on Saturday that she’s “so excited” about dressing the kids for their first Halloween, she needed extra storage in their New York apartment. He added, “She’s been dressing them up and sending me tons of pictures. It’s like they’re prepping for a tour!” Carey will give the first public glimpse of her twin boy and girl, now nearly six months old, on ABC’s “20/20” Friday during an interview with Barbara Walters.
