Chart Moves: Mariah Carey's 'Triumphant' Makes Modest Start,

-- Mariah Carey: While the diva's new single "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" sells 23,000 downloads in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, that's not enough to generate a debut on the Hot 100.

Owed to both its modest sales and airplay, the cut misses out on becoming her 45th chart entry. It's the first taste of Carey's upcoming 14th studio album, set for release in March 2013. Though, the song's sales could jump in the coming weeks: she'll perform Sept. 5 on NBC's pregame show before the New York Giants/Dallas Cowboys football game.

The rap-heavy "Triumphant" (featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill) has had a relatively low-key promotional push by its label, Island Def Jam. So far it has only been serviced to rhythmic and urban radio stations. For the week ending Aug. 14, it garnered two million in radio audience from 77 monitored stations included in the Hot 100's radio panel (of more than 1,200 outlets).

While there are dance remixes of the song without Ross and Meek Mill -- which could be more suitable for top 40 airplay -- they have yet to be serviced to radio nor released digitally
